Youth Employment and EVS in France

Training course on European Voluntary Service and Employment Opportunities for the Youth. Nancy, France.

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is often the first step on the way to a professional career. European mobility is very important today for the personal and professional development of young people. We aimed to underline the importance of the EVS and the international cooperation which provide the young people with the skills to find work in an international context. We also aimed at the development of new partnerships for EVS.

The participants worked on the problems the young people face when they search for work in another country. Some of the topics were:

  • Mobility in Europe
  • European Voluntary Service (EVS)- international experience and a first step to find work abroad
  • Europass/ Youthpass- advantages of the European Certificates
  • National tools- presentation of each participant of their specific national tools for recognition of formal and non-formal learning
  • Networking between the partners
