Description

The overall aim of this Youth Exchange is to gather young people who are sensitive to ecology and environmental issues to raise awareness on plastic waste within our everyday lives. Through the project activities and the development of a comic e-booklet that the participants will create during their participation to the Youth Exchange, the project aims to promote a sustainable way of living, generate and disseminate green lifestyle by exploring the role of creativity and art. The project seeks to inspire young people to interact with each other, share their experience, exchange their knowledge on the topic of the Exchange and explore creative ideas dealing with Eco issues. The project is based on non- formal learning, contains a set of activities which are innovative, non-formal and experiential. The results of the Youth Exchange are the creation of an e-booklet which will present comics depicting the waste of plastic within our everyday lives in a direct, funny and provocative way as well as a social media campaign. Thus, the project, through creative and artistic activities, aims to enhance the awareness of the participants while at the same time provide tools for raising concerns on the plastic waste in a wider audience. The young people participating to the project will develop their creative, digital, communication skills, will increase their critical thinking towards the challenges of the issue of the project while they will explore the use of social media and comics as tools to raise awareness and shift society mindsets on environmental issues.
