ABOUT THE PROJECT

The emphasis of this project is on Digital Competences and Media Literacy which are closely related, and both draw on the same core skill of Critical Thinking. Media Literacy focuses on teaching youth to be critically engaged consumers of media, while Digital Competence is more about enabling youth to participate in digital media in wise, safe and ethical ways.

Main aims:

  1. To promote the Digital Competence of the participating youth workers, youth trainers, and mentors.
  2. To use Information Society Technology (IST) and Information Communication Technologies (ICT) to develop the quality of youth work provided by the partner organisations to their target groups.

Three dimensions in which our training will impact the participants:

  1. KEEPING UP WITH THE DIGITALISATION OF SOCIETY
  2. PLANNING, DESIGNING AND EVALUATING DIGITAL YOUTH WORK
  3. YOUTH WORK COMPETENCES
    3A. Information and data literacy
    3B. Communication
    3C. Digital creativity
