Accounting Officer- Job description

The Accounting Officer will support the management of the projects of SEAL CYPRUS with the main tasks to:

Perform standard book-keeping, accounting and office administration tasks.
Manage payments and issue invoices.
Monitor the cash flow.
Prepare the payroll.
Monitor Tax, VAT, Social Contributions, Bank etc., and communicate with relevant authorities.
Prepare reports and collaborate with external Auditor firm.
Monitor timesheets of the staff.
Develop and monitor project budgets.
Monitor Grants and payments to and from international project partners.
Support the project management of international projects.
Prepare financial reports for projects.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience required

Use of ZOHO Books or other similar cloud accounting software is a must.
Knowledge of MS Excel is a must.
LCCI Accounting Intermediate or Higher or equivalent qualification.
The English language is a must.
An eye for detail.
Strong organisational skills.
Time management and capacity to work under deadline- related pressure.
Competence to work individually and within the team.
Experience in a similar position.
Experience in the financial management of projects funded by Grants from international organisations (EU Commission, EEA & Norway Grants) will be considered advantageous.
